It provides a comprehensive review of essential diving knowledge and procedures, including gear setup, inspection, buoyancy control, trim refinement, safety protocols, emergency management, and dive planning.
The course incorporates hands-on practice to restore comfort, proficiency, and confidence in the water, making it suitable for divers returning after a break or preparing for further training.
Benefits of the RAID Scuba Reboot Course

3. Practical Water Training
- Mandatory confined water session (pool or similar): Focus on refining fundamental skills, such as mask clearing, regulator recovery, buoyancy control, finning techniques, and emergency ascents.
- Optional open water dive: Additional real-world application based on instructor assessment of the participant’s needs and progress Skills are practiced with emphasis on safe execution, adaptation to conditions, and building competence.
Duration and Format
- Theory: Self-paced online, typically completed in 2-4 hours (or more depending on prior knowledge)
- Practical sessions: Generally completed in 1 day, including at least one confined water session and any optional open water dive

Certification
Upon successful completion of the academics, practical skills, and any required sign-offs, students receive a globally recognized electronic certification (e-card) issued by RAID.
